START is a large multi-centre research study which utilises state of the art neuroimaging to study acute stroke therapy, its prevention and its impact. It comprises two major studies; EXTEND (Extending The Time for Thrombolysis in Emergency Neurological Deficit) and PrePARE (Prediction and Prevention to Achieve Optimal Recovery Endpoints after Stroke).
START is a collaboration between a number organisations and institutions; the National Stroke Research Institute, the CSIRO, the University of Melbourne, Neurosciences Victoria, Neuroscience Trials Australia, Melbourne Health and the Brain Research Institute.
There is an upcoming Investigator Meeting at the AOCN conference in Melbourne on the 7th June 2012, more information to follow.
The international version of the eCRF was launched today.
